Reconciliation (Penance)Reconciliation is a sacrament of Healing. Reconciliation is also known as Penance, or Confession. This sacrament is when Catholics confess their sins to a priest, and express their sorrow for sinning. The priest then forgives the person in God's name. The effect of penance is to reconcile the Catholic to God and to the Catholic community.
